Massage Therapy

We offer professional therapeutic massage sessions ranging from thirty minutes to two hours. You may choose a full body relaxation, deep trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and pre- and post-natal massage.

Below is more information on the different types of massage we offer:

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

IASTM instruments make it easier to detect and treat facial dysfunction. They magnify the abnormalities (scars, restrictions, and adhesions) in the fascia and make it easier to locate the area to treat. Using a tool focuses the force through an area small then your finger with less friction. The goal is to trigger an inflammatory healing response to stimulate the production of new collagen and proper, more functional, less painful healing.

1st

Deep Tissue

Releases the chronic patterns of the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of the muscles, tendons, and fascia. This technique focuses on the deep layers of muscle tissues.

2nd

Myofascial Release

A form of bodywork that is stretching in nature and seeks to rebalance the body by releasing tension in the fascia. Long, stretching strokes are utilized to release muscular and fascia tension.

8is

Trigger Point

Also known as Myotherapy, applies concentrated finger pressure to “trigger points” which are painful irritates areas in the muscle, to break cycles of spasm and pain.

Relaxation

A system of long strokes, kneading, and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.

Pre/Post-Natal

Massage during and after pregnancy can relieve the physical discomfort and the emotional stress that accompanies being pregnant. It relaxes the mind and body, relieving muscular tension, promotes well-being and improves sleep. Massage can also help after the birth too. As well as giving you some precious time to care for yourself, it promotes muscle healing and spinal alignments, which are important factors in returning your body to its pre-pregnancy state.
