Being a mother herself, Dr. White understands first hand the importance of regular chiropractic care beginning at birth for a healthier child.

"I find that many of my patients have not been well educated about the condition and potential of their own body. That is why I take the time to thoroughly explain my findings with each patient, then teach them how they can alter their lifestyle to achieve and maintain better health."
--Dr. White

What Are Adjustments Like At White Chiropractic?

Our adjustments are gentle and very specific, only moving the vertebrae which are misaligned and using only as much force as needed to give the correction. Our doctors have experience with many adjusting techniques and will use the one best suited to each individual based on their age, condition, body type and sensitivity level. For example, an instrument called an activator may be used as a low-force method of adjusting on some patients.

Because vertebrae are held in position by strong ligaments and many layers of muscles, adjustments are most effectively done by relaxing the spinal musculature prior to the adjustment. Relaxed muscles allow vertebrae to move more easily, and spinal corrections will be effective for a longer period of time. Focal areas of tightness in the muscles called "trigger points" can be the direct cause of pain in some patients.

To relax muscles, address trigger points and promote faster healing, our doctors often use soft tissue therapy as part of your treatment. Therapies may include massage, electric muscle stimulation, moist hot packs, intersegmental traction or ultrasound.
